building a quality custom home

step 1: design phase

We kick off every project with a 90-minute initial consultation. Here, we discuss your goals for the project so that we can begin designing your home. After receiving your signed proposal and deposit, the designer will schedule a site visit to take measurements. You will then meet with your designer for a vision consultation to define the form and function of each space. Once the initial design is complete, a revision meeting is scheduled to fine-tune the plans.

step 2: budget refinement and final design

At this point, you will receive an estimate for your project. We will work through this with you in order to determine your final budget. At the same time, your designer is finalizing your design. Once we have all agreed that the design is correct, you will be provided with the plans for your project, as well as a final 3-D rendering of the home.

step 3: pre-construction

The contract is signed – we’re off to the races! In this phase, timelines are developed, permits are submitted, and we begin working with you to make your selections. This is where the fun things happen!

phase 4:construction

If you are building a new home, this is when we break ground! And if you’re renovating your home, then it’s time for demo day! The project is officially underway and we are building you the home of your dreams. You will work closely with your Project Manager and your designer throughout the entire construction phase. You will have on-site meetings with them to confirm certain selections. We will provide you with a weekly update on your home so you know what is happening at any given moment.

step 5: finishing & punch

You’re officially in the home stretch of your project! Since we will have already made all of your furnishings selections, we are now simply receiving and installing everything you chose for your home. As a true Design & Build firm, we can manage your project from start to finish, which makes life so much easier for you. We will also be working through the final details of the construction phase and completing your punch list.

step 6: move in!

The project is over and you get to move into the home of your dreams! We will have installed all of your furniture and window treatments, so when you walk into your house, it is ready for you! We hand you the keys to your home and you get to spend a lifetime there making memories!
